SUCCESSFUL EDITION OF THE 19. NEUJAHRSMARATHON ZÜRICH 2024
We are delighted and proud that almost 1,000 runners made the 19. Neujahrsmarathon Zürich an outstanding success. We are also particularly pleased that we were able to welcome participants from over 47 countries to our event!The weather was initially dry and mild, although it had rained before the start. Some participants got wet again on the last lap, but the conditions were generally excellent. The clear sky and the view of the moon, stars and fireworks were additional rewards for the runners.
In the main discipline of the marathon, Phil Besson from Switzerland secured victory in the men's category with a time of 2:38:44. He ran at an impressive pace of 3:46 minutes per kilometer. Philipp Arnold, also from Switzerland and a regular on our podium, took second place with a time of 2:43:56 hours. Jaime Gutiérrez Vicente from Spain, who designed our medals this year, took third place in 2:54:17 hours.
In the women's race, Joanna Ryter from Switzerland set a new course record with a time of 2:56:50 hours. She ran a fantastic race and clearly set herself apart from the competition. Claudia Maria Henneken from Germany finished in second place with a time of 3:29:10 hours. Alma Stebler from Switzerland completed the podium with a finishing time of 3:42:17 hours.
Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the runners and volunteers who made this outstanding event possible through their participation and tireless efforts. Your commitment and enthusiasm made the 19. Neujahrsmarathon Zürich an unforgettable event for the entire running community. Thank you for your passion and support!

כבר 19 שנה , נערך מרתון ראשון של השנה שמוזנק בדיוק בחצות עם כניסת השנה החדשה.
על מרתון זה שמעתי מחברי, האחים רוברטו וברנרדו פישר , שהשתתפו בו בזמנו.

אגב , מתוך 153 הגברים שסיימו ן-44 הנשים שסיימו מרתון מלא -
לא היה אף ישראלי/ת ! מפתיע לימינו.
